Phi Mu Forever

Thank you.

Thank you, seniors, for you have shown us what it means to make the most of our years in college. You may not even realize the impact you have made, but you have truly inspired all of us in one way or another. Since the start, each of you have made everyone feel welcomed. You have been amazing friends and you have been even better role models. Thank you for setting a good example of what a sister truly is. Thank you for showing us the ropes of college so we would know what to do and what not to do. Thank you for being a mentor to anyone who needs help. You always knew what to do, and you passed that knowledge along to us. You have always been real, and honest. You always know exactly what to say, and how to be gentle. Having been through all the ups and downs of college, you have all been pros by the time we go through them, and your advice is what has got us through. Knowing that you made it all the way to graduation, tells us that someday, we will be there too. You have made this organization what it is, and have now passed on the tradition. Thank you for making our chapter great. Every time you are around, you fill the room with love and joy. You have been the backbone of our chapter, and have taught us all so much. You have loved everyone through the good and the bad. You have carried on our legacy as women of Phi Mu, and handing it down to all of us. Each and every one of you truly embody what it means to be real, strong, and vibrant in all aspects of your life. You have spent the last four years of your life, meeting your best friends, growing as a professional, and doing your absolute best to pass down your knowledge before you leave us. Thank you for leading us in the direction of strong sisterhood and strong friendships.

The love and respect we have for you is immeasurable.

Thank you, seniors. We will miss you!

April Sister of the Month

Our April sister of the month is the one and only, Sydney Milton!

Ever since she ran home in the Fall of 2016 Sydney has been a light within Phi Mu. She never fails to bring a smile to a sister's face and always gives a 100% into everything she does. Sydney recently got accepted into the LSU Dental Hygiene Program! Even though this means we have to say goodbye to you as an active member, never forget you are a Phi Mu for life! We are so proud of you Sydney!

Alpha Psi definitely let the good times roll at our first ever Bayou Bash! Bayou Bash was mainly a jambalaya/pastalaya cook-off but there was also a silent auction, a 50/50 raffle and a Kendra Scott pop up shop. Our new philanthropy director, Kalyn Leblanc, did such an amazing job planning this event. We raised over $13,000 for our local Children's Miracle Network Hospital, Children's Hospital of New Orleans! Congratulations to Frank Deffes, our own Patricia Todd's father, for being the first place winner in the cook-off! We can't wait to see what next year will bring for this event.

Phi Mu's Next Top Model

Our sister Jordyn McKey was named to the Top 26 semi-finalists out of thousands of applicants to become Jovani's next It Girl! This past week she walked in various runway shows in Atlanta, GA and in the next few weeks she will find out if she is one of the Top 11 finalist that will travel to NYC for a photoshoot. The next Jovani It Girl who will receive a scholarship and a credit to Jovani for their own custom dress! You are just as beautiful on the inside as you are on the outside, we are so proud of you!

I can honestly say that the being apart of the Jovani family is one of the most incredible feelings. I am so happy to represent Phi Mu in this competition as a woman who focuses her values on loving everyone, honoring those who have paved the way, and being true to herself and what she believes.

Greek Week 2018 and March Sister of the Month

We are so proud to announce that we won 1st place in step show and 2nd place overall in Greek Week! All of this would not have been possible without the help of the gentlemen of Delta Tau Delta and the Nu Delta Divas! It was an honor to be paired with y'all, here is to future friendships and bonds that will last a lifetime. There could have been no better birthday present for our amazing Campus Activities Chairman, Bailey Morgan! Your hard work definitely showed. See ya next year Greek Week!

Also congratulations to Bailey for being named our March sister of the month!

February Sister of the Month

Our February sister of the month is new member, Tricia Todd!

Trish has not waited to step up in our chapter and is our newly-elected Director of Harm and Risk Prevention! She is constantly motivating us and keeps our best interests at heart. We can't wait to see all the amazing things you learned at Officer Academy. We are so blessed to have such a devoted and genuine member like you in our organization! LIOB

2018 Sisterhood Retreat

We are so proud of how amazing our sisterhood retreat went! It's all thanks to Morgan, our insanely hardworking, Sisterhood Director! Alpha Psi's sisterhood is like no other and we could never thank you enough for how our bond of sisterhood was able to grow this weekend.

Our sisterhood symbolizes all that we wish to accomplish in our lives. It represents all the struggles we face as we grow. Why we cling to it no one can explain, but in the end, we are all stronger because it. There is strength in sisterhood.

January Sister of the Month

January’s sister of the month goes to our T-shirt chairman and former philanthropy director, Taylor Kinnison!

TK radiates Phi Mu in every aspect of her life and puts her heart and soul into all her endeavors. Not only does she design incredible T-shirt’s for our chapter, but she also created this beautiful website! Whether it’s a fun T-shirt design or creating an incredible new philanthropy event raising money for CMN, she’s completely dedicated to our sisterhood. WE LOVE YOU TK!
